Project Proposal Application
Community Research and Impact Committee (CR&I)
Dear Potential Project Partner,
For over 90 years, the Junior League of El Paso has aspired to establish innovative programs designed to meet the current needs of our unique El Paso community. The Junior League of El Paso is committed to meaningful community impact through our projects and partnerships. We are excited to begin our project selection for the 2027-2028 year and invite you to submit a Project Proposal Application.
As the challenges in our society change, we strive to adapt our project focus to best support El Paso. We are eager to partner with organizations that have creative, high-impact ideas addressing physical and mental health.
The Junior League of El Paso, Inc. has a long history of actively working with local partners on projects that make a positive impact within our community. Projects must seek to create a positive impact within our focus areas of physical and mental health, as well as collaborative partnerships that include training and hands-on volunteer activities with our members.
We have four project types for you to consider:
Instant Impact – brief volunteer projects that can be conducted in a day or less during 2027-2028.
Provisional – one-month long projects that provide an opportunity for our new members to work with a project partner within a short timeframe (February 2027) and small budget. Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn skills and actively volunteer during the project.
Regular – these projects usually last 1 or more years (May 2027 –June 2028) and involve both a budget and volunteer components. A JLEP wellness committee will collaborate with a project partner in accomplishing goals & objectives to address identified needs while volunteers obtain training and hands on volunteer experiences in the community.
Other – if you have an idea but aren’t quite sure where it might fit, we still want to hear from you! Just mark the Project Type on the application as “Other.”
To be competitive during CR&I’s research and project review process, a Project Proposal Application is recommended to demonstrate the following:
- project partners must be 501 (c)(3) non-profit organizations;
- aim to make a positive impact to improve physical and mental health needs within the El Paso community;
- is in alignment with JLEP’s Mission, Vision, Position Statements;
- intentional collaboration, training and hands on volunteer activities with JLEP members.
