The Vice President of Finance shall oversee all financial matters of the JLEP. She will initiate long-range financial forecasting, evaluate existing Ways and Means projects and explore future fundraising possibilities/opportunities. She shall serve as the Chair of the Finance Council, which shall consist of committees designated by the President.

Admitted into active membership in 2001, Christy is currently serving as Membership VP. She has chaired the Christmas Fair Merchant, Provisionals, and Nominating committees. She has served on Provisionals, Nominating, Placement, Headquarters, Keystone Botanical Garden and Resource Development as well as having attended ODI.

Christy is a Humanities teacher at Lincoln Middle School, and graduated from UTEP with a degree in English Lit. She is an active volunteer, sponsoring the National Junior Honor Society and serving on the Board of the Braden Aboud Memorial Foundation. She is married to Chris Hines, and they have two active sons, Taylor and Trevor. Christy enjoys gardening, cooking and reading in her free time.
When asked to identify her favorite thing about JLEP, Chisty says ,“I really enjoy the friendships I’ve made in League. These relationships energize you and push you to be not only a better person, but also a better leader in the community. The training I’ve received in League has carried over to all aspects of my life.”
