The Junior League of El Paso Endowment Fund represents a long-term development strategy to assure the continued vitality of the Junior League of El Paso, Inc. in its mission of promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action of trained volunteers.
Founded in 2002, the Junior League of El Paso Endowment Fund is designated as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation and a 509(a)(3) supporting foundation of the Junior League of El Paso, Inc. Its sole purpose is to support the mission and programs of the JLEP. The principal of the Endowment Fund increases through The Storytellers special event, JLEP fundraising, individual donations, bequests and planned gifts, and investment income. The long-term goal is to build the principal to $1 million so that the JLEP Endowment Fund can provide a significant portion of the annual needs of the Junior League of El Paso, Inc.’s community projects.
A Board of Directors governs the JLEP Endowment Fund independently from the Junior League of El Paso, Inc. and its Board. The Endowment Fund Board is charged with overseeing the management and investment of funds. The JLEP Endowment Fund Board is currently composed of eight members, including Active and Sustaining members of JLEP and community representatives.
